Newborn Session Information

When To Book

The best time to contact me is during your pregnancy so that you don’t miss out. We will make a tentative booking based on your due date and stay in touch throughout the end of your pregnancy.  I will wait to hear from you when you arrive home from hospital with your new baby in order to finalize on a date.  We will aim to photograph your newborn baby around 5-10 days of age.

About Your Session

Sessions will always be scheduled 10 AM in order to utilize my natural light studio.  The flow of the photo session is dictated by your baby.  Plan on your session taking 2-4 hours allowing for plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, and of course, diaper changes.  I have lots of props for you to choose from and I like to involve you in the styling of the session.

What to Wear

You just had a baby, relax!  White ribbed tanks, jeans and bare feet all photograph beautifully in the studio.  Keep in mind that my studio is kept quite warm during newborn photo sessions to keep your baby comfy and to help them regulate their body temperature.  For newborn sessions, keep it very simple and in one key, light, dark, or mid-tones

Proofs & Ordering

Your pictures will be ready for viewing in an online private gallery here on my website within 10 days.  I will send you an email with a password to your online proofing gallery.  The gallery will display approximately 20 images, each personally and creatively edited by myself.  A blog post for you to share with your family and friends will also be ready at this time.  Your online gallery will remain active for 2 weeks.

You can order by sending me an email with your choice of package.  Once full payment is received, your products will be ordered.  Your prints, canvases and other products are all printed at a professional lab and are available for pick up within two to three weeks of your order being placed unless otherwise noted.

Any unordered images will be archived.  Once the gallery has been archived, there will be a $25 fee to republish it for 7 days.
